How To Add Simple Product in Magento 2

Magento 2 holds multiple products within the catalogue, a simple product is a physical item with a unique SKU. Simple products have input controls, available to sell varieties of the product. Simple products can be utilised in cooperation with grouped, bundles, and configurable products.

The following process to create a simple product using,

1 Product template.

2 Require fields.

3 Basic setting.

The required fields are marked with an asterisk(*).After complete the basic setting, you can move on to advanced settings as needed.

Steps to create a simple product

Step1: Select the product type

On the Admin panel > Catalog > Products.

Click on the upper right corner of the Add Product button and select the simple product.

Step2: Select the Product Attribute

In the search box, enter the attribute name and select.
In the list select the attribute you want to use.

Step3: Complete the Required Fields

In the Product Detail section. Do the following steps:
Enter Product Name.
Use the default SKU that is based on the product name, or enter another.
Enter the Product Price.
Set the Enable Product option to No.
Click Save and continue with the next step, When the product is saved, the Store View chooser appears in the upper-left corner.
Choose the store view where the product is available.

Step4: Complete the Basic setting

Set Tax Class.
- None.
- Taxable Goods.
To add a product image, do the following:
- Drag an image from your desktop and drop it on the camera title.
- In the image, the box clicks the camera tile and navigates the image from your computer, then select the image and click open.
Enter the quantity of the product that is currently in stock.
Enter the product weight.

To assign a Category to the product, click the select box and do either of the following:
- Choose an Existing Category:
  - Start typing inbox to find a match.
  - Select the check box of each category that is to be assigned.
- Create a New Category:
  - Click New Category.
  - Enter the category name and choose the parent category to determine its position in the menu structure.
- Click Create Category.

Enter the product description into the text box, and set the format as needed. Then click submit.

Step5: Complete the Product Information

Content.
Images and Videos.
Related Products, Up-Sells and Cross-Sells.
Search Engine Optimization.
Customizable Options.
Product In websites.
Design.
Gift Options.

Step6: Publish the Product

To publish the product in the catalogue, set the product online switch to the on position.
When complete, click on the save menu and select the save and close.
