WHAT IS USER EXPERIENCE (UX) DESIGN?
UX (user experience) is a designing process to create meaningful products and relevant experiences with the help of a professional designer or a team. It includes the design of the whole process of integration and acquisition of a product. Design, branding, usability, visuals, and function are also included in this process.
User Experience Design, in other words, is the process of designing physical and digital products which are user-friendly, calm, and beautiful to interact with. It makes sure to put value in the product you’re providing and escalates the user experience while interacting.
The word “design” is often used in a way that can be changed such as “UI design” and “usability”. However, they both are subsets of UX and the most significant aspect of user expertise. A UX designer is concerned with the whole process of obtaining and integrating a product. Including features of design, branding, usability, visuals, and function. All this process happens before the actual product is in the user’s hand. A product is a cohesive, combined set of experiences. It includes all of the stages from initial impressions intentions through final reflections, from the first guide to help, service and maintenance.
Companies that keep product consumption and use in mind provide the greatest user experiences such as Android and IOS. A true UX designer keeps all the aspects in mind like pleasure, accuracy, efficiency, fun, and design instead of just creating a product. There is not a specific definition of user experience, a good user experience meets all the product needs in a specific environment for a specific audience.
Why what and how?
As UX designers we always need to consider why and how to use a product. The “why” includes the motivations for the user for adopting a specific product, whether the user relates to a task he expected to perform with it or to views and values the user relates to the ownership and use of the product. The “What” tells about the functionality of a product and what people can do with it. For example, with a Magento 2 e-commerce store, people will expect to buy a product which means it should take the user through all the necessary steps to buy a product if it has better functionality. And at the last the “how” related to experience and aesthetics. It may include soft colors transitions pop-ups and other fun factors. It associates with the design of functionality in a convenient way. All of these are connected in a meaningful way to provide a seamless fluid experience.
User-Centred
UX design multidisciplinary field and it encompasses the whole user journey, UX designers come from different backgrounds such as visual design, coding, psychology, and interaction design. Typical tasks of a UX designer usually vary, but often include, creating persons, documents, wireframes, and interactive prototypes as well as testing a design. That’s why UX designers work in a form of a user-centered work process and keep channeling their best-informed efforts till they address all user needs and related problems.
